ABOUT US

The Camp Veritas Story

Camp Veritas is a one week sleep away pilgrimage experience for teens going into 7th grade through 12th grade (ages 12-18).
The recipe is play-and-pray with a full immersion in the Catholic Faith through sacraments and activities.

WE ARE FAMILY-FOUNDED
Camp Veritas was founded in 2008 by Ryan and Elizabeth Young. Recognizing the crisis of young people leaving the Catholic Church after Confirmation, Ryan and Elizabeth answered the call to found a fun-filled Catholic summer camp for teens. With a primary focus on Eucharistic-centered worship and evangelization; orthodox teaching in line with the Catechism of the Catholic Church and teachings of the Magisterium; and interaction with clergy and religious. Campers enjoy traditional camp activities during the daytime (swimming, sports, hiking, etc).

WE ARE COMPLETELY VOLUNTEER
Every person involved with Camp Veritas is entirely volunteer.  They give of their time, talents, energy and knowledge with the common goal of bringing our teens to the foot of the Cross in the Eucharist.

WE ARE A NON-PROFIT
Camp Veritas is a non-profit organization incorporated in the State of New York and organized exclusively for the purpose of inspiring and forming young Catholic teens into disciples of Jesus Christ. Camp Veritas is faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Catechism and to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

WE ARE APPROVED BY THE USCCB
Camp Veritas has been approved by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops for listing in the Official Catholic Directory, which is also known as the Kenedy Directory.  Camp Veritas is recognized by the IRS as a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.  This classification allows donors to claim their contributions as tax-deductible.
